You're not missing anything. You're early.

The people joining Kurrent now will help decide what kind of content, conversations, communities and culture grow here.

This beta is about more than finding technical bugs. Use Kurrent like a real social network.

Post something. Upload photos. Follow people and topics. Join or create communities. Send messages. Save and share posts. Invite people you know.

Try the Current Dial. Switch between Home, Current, Work and Worldwide. Change your feed settings. Explore places. Push buttons. Try things.

• If something breaks, tell us.
• If something is confusing, tell us.
• If something technically works but feels wrong, tell us that too.

Kurrent is being built around the idea that your feed should not be completely decided for you.

The Current Dial gives you more control over what you see and lets you change the kind of Kurrent you want at that moment.

• Home keeps you closer to the people and things you know.
• Current helps you see what is happening around a location.
• Work gives you another context for what matters to you.
• Worldwide opens things up.

Your settings affect your experience. They do not censor other users or globally decide what anyone else is allowed to see.

Kurrent is also being built around a simple idea: the people who create the posts, photos, conversations, communities and attention that make a social network valuable should have a chance to share in that value.

Traditional platforms often reserve earning programs for a relatively small group of designated creators. Kurrent's long-term goal is different.

As the network grows and advertising is introduced, qualifying public content from everyday users should be able to participate in the value created by legitimate, monetizable attention.

You should not need thousands of followers or a special creator label just to have a chance to earn from content people genuinely engage with.

That earning system is not live during beta. Kurrent is building the measurement, qualified-view accounting, fraud protection, revenue accounting and other safeguards first.

Beta activity does not currently represent real earnings.

There is no established Kurrent culture yet. That is something the first users will create. Don't wait for someone else to decide what belongs here.
